Opinion for spell and skill name for all DQ

tonlee83 — Sun, 02/21/2010 - 23:23

Referring to the current DQ style and DW style translation.
I know that you all (Translation team) try to make it easier to understand through only a gaze up on the name without having to read the describtion of the spell or skill frame.
But, as a dragon quest fan who has a different poit of view of the translation,
I would like to see the spell and skill name in japanese original accent like;

メラ - Mera
ギラ - Gira
ベギラマ- Begirama
バギ - Bagi
バギマ - Bagima
バギクロス - Bagicross

eventhough it is japanese vocabulary but these spells are still understandable by reading the describtion box.

Some people might not agree with me but, as I said "as a DQ fan", this is just my opinion which some might agress with me.

any one who like it the same way as me please raise your hand up!!! so the team will see and keep it for their decision. ^-^

I appreciate the feedback.

I appreciate the feedback. Problem is, this goes too far into the "very literal" territory. My issue with the current spell names is they aren't that user friendly. Frizz and Sizz sound too similar and I associate Crack with thunder/lightening. You want your audience to see the name and instantly know what it does. The description box is good, but might be tiresome if some players are always having to check it.

Golf Bags in Local Shop

Golf Bags in Local Shop
Most golf clubs for sale store also sales golf bags, and these golf bags always have various dividers in them - these are used to both separate your clubs as well as providing valuable protection for both the heads and the shafts. Ishiner Cart bags tend to have a separate divider for each club, however the other variety tend to have less. One thing to remember is that the more dividers a bag has the heavier it probably will be.

Part of the problem is that

DaMarsMan — Wed, 02/24/2010 - 11:58

Part of the problem is that the sounds of those words give a certain feeling when read in Japanese. It's kind of like if you say 'Zing' in English. It doesn't mean much but it gives a lively feel. If you keep them exactly the same, the English speaking audience misses out on that.

Used Clubs Right for Your Game or Not

Used Clubs Right for Your Game or Not
Are the used clubs you find are right for your game? Did your find your golf irons are too long, too short, too stiff, too flexible? Ishiner Did you find the grips of your ping g15 fairway wood are not the right size and the driver loft is not enough for your swing speed? What if the lie of the clubs will make you tend to hit the ball to the left or right? Before you buy it, you should test it.
