Greetings to one and all! I'd like to just say how fantastic it is to have a new addition to the English speaking DQ site community, let alone one based around translating the fan-favorites!

I'm not quite sure how to summarize my interest in the DQ series, but I think that the most important element, for me at least, has been that the worlds themselves seem to be more fleshed out than what I've seen in other RPGs (or for most of the 8-bit ones anyway); I think this is best illustrated by II; the people had a smidgen more personality than usual; the monsters looked like they could (plausibly) function in some kind of ecosystem, and world creates it's own fantasy setting without alienating the player or sticking to close to Lotr.
