DQ Translations is proud to present our Dragon Quest 5 English Translation Patch v1.0. Everything you need to know you can find in the readme included with the patch.

DQ Translations would like to thank all the committed fans that have loved this series despite the unfair treatment it has received in the past. Just like you, we waited until, "Eh, maybe next year." turned into, "Aw, come on!" After all that hoping, waiting, and even begging the Square Enix representatives on Slime Knights, it’s finally here.

Many of us have spent countless hours working on this project while juggling jobs and school. We hope that the effort we put in will help make this game a memorable experience for you! Don’t forget to stop by our forums to chat with other members about the translation or the series.

I want to thank you too. It is great to finally be able to play this awesome game on my PS2 rather than on the DS.

You did a great job. :)

Now I just hope there are more DQ translations coming. Youth Yangus would be neat, or Torneko 3. :)

For some reason I'm the only seed listed on one tracker and one of two seeds on another tracker. The main seed is only listed on one tracker.

I only want to thanks the dq translations team for these awesome patch. I just finished dq5 with the version 1.0 without any crash.
I will wait for the final realese for my second play. Take your time and keep with these great work

I just played the beginning of the game with patch 1.2, and I wanted to thank everyone involved in the project for all your hard work. It looks great and runs perfectly so far. Thanks a lot, guys!

What does it mean if my game

What does it mean if my game freezes before the title screen? I see the first few screens, but it freezes on the editor names. I'm playing on an actual PS2 using HDLoader and it worked when I loaded v1.1, so what did I do wrong?

Edit: I believe my problem was due to the transfer method that I was using to get the ISO loaded in HDLoader. I was using HDLDumb to transfer the file over my network and it must have been corrupting the image. I re-installed the game directly in HDLoader using Swap Magic and it seems to be working fine.
