There's another way to do this if you're using Pcsx, click the misc button, then check enable patches and Close GS window on ESC, next Load your game, hit Esc to get back to the console and click Misc, then patch browser, then Add RAW--enter the following code: 205EF5FC 24022F0B then click Add then close the box and it'll be in the patch list--you must enable it. Exit the patch browser and go back to your game, push Cross, then Select and your into the Debug room. Just be aware this makes the game awfully easy and as was said before you can screw your game up so save any changes in a separate save-game.
I've gotten almost to the end with both Flora and Biancha with no problem other than some pretty ribald situations (try staying at the inn at Biancha's original home town after a certain major event with Flora;)
This code is from a Japanese DQ site and there are many more.
The code to enable debug mode
Tom-Servo — Sun, 01/31/2010 - 15:12The code to enable debug mode is on the front page. You have to manually put it in a batch file and run it using the ISO name as an argument.
There's another way to do

Yup
Tom-Servo — Mon, 02/01/2010 - 15:57Pretty much the ram offsets for most things are the same as the Japanese version, so those codes should work fine.
